Forged 360 8 mesh

I'm looking to purchase a set of 20" forged 360 8 mesh with a 20 X 9" front & 20" X 10.5 rear configuration from a local seller. Tires are Fronts are 255-30-20 Rears are 295-25-20. I don't see to much recent information about forged 360 and it looks like not a lot of vendors are not carrying them anymore. Is there anything I should be concerned about when dealing with this brand? I know there were some issues with them in the early days.

Thanks in advance.

Horrible reputation in quality? Customer service? Both? Are these wheels gonna fall apart on me if I buy them?

Do some searches...I think a lot of people got ripped off by those guys. I'm not aware of issues with quality but others probably know more than I do.

Thanks. I did read about those stories, but that was back in 2009. I'm not ordering from 360 forged, I'm buying a set from a local seller, so I will be able to touch and feel before parting with my money. My main concern is quality. The seller claims they are mint. Anybody who owns these, can you vouch for the quality and longevity of this brand.

Again, thank you to everyone

I owned a set of these in cf. I bent a rim on a pot hole about a year ago and called the main guy up and he replaced the lip for a small fee. I can only speak for myself and my set came out great. They did get a bad rep on here with big delays and and a couple sent damaged if I remember correctly.

Thanks man. I think I'll move on and look for something else. When it comes to wheels, you don't want to make a mistake.

Stick with the proven brands when it comes to wheels. BBS, OZ, HRE, Forgeline, Volk, and Advan to name a few. You are far better off keeping your OEM wheels if you are considering anything less. Lastly, many of us have tried a number of wheel/tire configurations (18's, 19's, and 20's) and learned that 20's are the worst option on this car. 20's are a compromise in every way - price, strength, weight, performance, tire options, and honestly aesthetics. The car looks odd with 20's with the exception of BBS LMS or LM-R's (both step-lip wheels). Even those high quality wheels come with all of the other compromises I listed. There are cars that are designed for 20's such as the Nissan GTR or 991 Porsche but when you study the tire sizes you will notice that they all have sidewall heights consistent with 19's on an M3. In other words those cars were designed with a larger overall diameter wheel and tire in mind so the tire sizes don't have the compromises that I speak of. The sidewall height of a 20" wheel on an M3 is very thin which is a bad thing.

I have personally landed on 18" wheels as the best option for the M3. 19's are good as well and aesthetically look better than 18's on a car that hasn't been lowered IMO.

I hope this helps!

I owned there 360 Forged Spec 5s. I did not have the problems alot of people had, but I would not recommend purchasing any 360 forged rims. As you can longer contact them.

On top of everything else you said (which I agree with), don't forget resale value. It already seems like a tough market to try to sell used rims lately, but trying to sell brands with questionable reputation is that much harder.

Thanks again for the honest feedback. This forum is probably the best source for credible and reliable information when it comes the M3. It's too bad that good quality second hand wheels are so hard to find here in Canada, the market is too small for M3 enthusiasts.

Maybe I should just keep rolling on my OEM 19's until something better comes around.

Paint the OEM's black and they look a lot better.

I don't have anything against 360 Forged anymore. The company that bought then cleaned up the previous dumbasses mess and took care of the people who got screwed- as far as I know at least. I just don't think their wheels are certified by any reputable wheel testing organization.

I would STRONGLY recommend you avoid ADV.1 like the Herpes virus that they are, since they're the original owners of 360 Forged.

Acknowledged. I've decided just to keep my stock 19's and be happy with them. At least i know they won't fall apart on me. Since my car is supercharged, I don't want to take any chances at high speed.

360 forged never had any quality issues. All the issues they had early on were late/non-delivery issues due to mismanagement. After they got bought out the back orders were taken care of and customers were made whole. The original owners went on to form adv.1 as an attempy to hide their past transgressions and start over.

I've run 360 forged wheels on 2 cars and have never had any issues with them at all. I ran a set of 20" concave mesh on my old e55 and I have a set of 20" mesh 8 on my m3 right now. I get compliments all the time. A very trusted local wheel repair shop had a lot of possitive things to say about the build quality when I had some curb rash repaired.
