1st Time At Laguna W/ My New E92 M3

well a few weeks ago was my 1st time back on the track after my wreck at T-HILL (TOTALED MY E46) and it was also my 1st time on the track with my new e92 m3.... i have to be honest i wasnt expecting much out of my e92 m3 as i had a caged full track prepped e46 m3..i expected the 92 to be huge, sloppy, and a challenge to drive over all in the stock form. for the most part the car is stock except for some simple mods i did right after buying the car. i put in recaro PP, kw sleeve over kit, PFC 08 pads front and rear, along with apex arc-7 w/ nitto nt01... after 1 day at luguna and working out the butterflies of being on the track after a bad wreck i can only say this has to be my favorite m3 i have owned except for my e30....car felt a little big as expected but felt nimble, brakes were ok for a car that weighs as much as it does but was ok with the pfc pads.... it was nice having the torque compared to the e46 when exiting the corners and the long straight at laguna....the power was more manageable then i expected....overall i can say bmw did well and look forward to the future with this car and everything it has to offer!!!!!

You should come down to Buttonwillow and/or Chuckwalla one of these days? I'm planning on heading up for the PCA GGR DE event at the end of March at Thunderhill....you gonna go to that event?

Great post! Nice to see you pushing the limits already. Curious how your times compare when you go back to thunderhill in the e92

Kudos to you getting right back out there. I wrecked my E92 at the Glen last year so I know exactly where your coming from. I plan on getting back out myself once the season starts.

If I don't mind me asking how'd it happen? I've always been afraid of Glen. Professionals face their last race there.

alot of guys look down on the e92 because of size, more electronics and to be honest i used to be on that ban wagon until getting behind the wheel of one...this car looks to be very promising...

So what did you run? Always curious what an almost stock M3 would run with R Comps. I feel like they make the most significant difference in times.

Also I Need To Mention I Was Having To Work Out A Rubbing Issue With The Nt01's...i Have To Run A 12mm Spacer To Clear The Kw Springs....then Of Course The Tires Were Rubbing The Front Fenders...after Loosening The Fender Bolts That Run Down The Fenders And Pulling The Fenders Out I Was Abel To Eliminate Most Of The Issue...now The Fenders Only Polish The Sidewall From Time To Time Lmao...the Other Issue I Need To Deal With Is I Need Camber Plates... I Know The Nt01's Need Neg Camber So Im Sure Im Heating The Sidewalls A Little More Then I Should...i Swear It Never Ends

I've been karting this winter and driving karts helps a lot. You learn great car control and everything that happens in a kart can happen on the track with much less risk. I recommend karting to anyone who drives a car on the racetrack. After karting I don't think I'll be as nervous getting back out there
