The phone icon with an "x"
Why am I getting this icon?
Car is 2010.5 MY. ![]() It is not associated with my phone - I can make and receive calls via my HTC One, the phonebook is present. It is not associated with the primary (basic) connected-drive functionality as I can call the concierge service and receive addresses via the message function. I cannot however, access the other BMW services which should be available (as shown via the i-drive screen) ![]() ![]() I have contacted BMW, but they have no clue - blaming it on my HTC One. Overlooking the fact that it all worked fine up until September |

Yeah, it's the missed call indicator. If it's constantly displayed for you, perhaps try clearing the history of all missed (or perhaps even all) calls in your phone to see if the car resets the indicator?

Thanks for the responses.
Unfortunately, if I go straight to my 2012 M3, the icon is not there, without clearing anything on the phone. And the appearance of this icon coincides with the loss of on-line functionality. It also coincides with the 3rd birthday of the car - which would normally signal the need for an extension to the connected-drive subscription, so I wonder if this has something to do with it? I have checked with BMW however, and the subscription has another year to run - part of the BMW approved used car scheme in the UK |

If it's behaving strangely, try visiting bmw.com/update and reinstalling.
