thanks guys. few more exterior mods in the works and that should be it. AMS carbon roof and top racing dry carbon hood (which i plan to paint)

Turbo S's are very nice but are not a quantum jump better than a GTR. And I would venture to guess the Nismo will be considered a superior car to the Turbo S by most reviewers.

I've driven both and though I would prefer the Porsche if the prices were close the GTR isn't an inferior vehicle. And none of us have driven the Nismo, which will be a tad different than a regular GTR.

If you plan to keep both stock than I agree

If you want to mod either than I would go gtr all day

You've owned 3 GTRs...? What's the deal? Did you have problems with them? I was under the impression they're fairly reliable cars.

I bought three over 5 years(and 55000 miles) and had zero issues. I just happened to buy each performance point(480, 530, and 545 hp). I regret buying the last performance bump because it wasn't significant enough to justify swapping vehicles and taking the depreciation hit(which wasn't that bad).

And I test drove a GTR 3 times before choosing my M3 over it. I really wanted to love it, but I just couldn't.

Nissan deserves nothing but a big for their efforts. While Nissan was lighting up the Ring in those 7 minutes, our friends at a certain "ultimate driving machine" company were debating how many M badges they would need to put on non-M cars to peel people's eyes away from staring at the inflated sticker price on the windshield.
Since I don't drive on the ring, and will likely never drive on the ring in a race for money, I have no use or desire for a GTR. However, if I was in race around the ring for money, the GTR would likely be my top choice.

I think the funniest thing is a BMW owner calling GTR's ugly and saying they prefer Porsche's design.... just wow...

a GTR is way more imposing/impressive to see in person and to drive than almost any Porsche.
Porsche looks like grandma's grocery getter next to it.

And for the record, I think the GTR looks mighty imposing in person but this is menacing in a primordial sort of way:

Oh yeah I don't disagree with that, 98 percent of Nissans current cars in the US are grocery getters, the Nissan enthusiasts are feeling very left out and let down by Nissan lacking in the cheaper rwd dept.

Well put! In fact if I had to race(time attack)somebody for money on the track, I'd pick the gtr over my gt3 on most tracks.

Then again, if it was a track only car solely funded by myself, I'd choose a c6 z06 over the gtr or my gt3. The consumables are relatively cheap and it's pretty well fitted off the showroom floor
