Anyone know a Orthopedic Surgeon

Anyone know of an Orthopedic Surgeon that's willing to take a new patient? I learned a few days ago that my ACL has ruptured, and I don't even get to see the surgeon until January(mind you this happened a month & a half ago). Then they inform me that it'll probably take a year before I can get my ACL reconstruction surgery(depending on severity). This is way to long for me to get an opinion. Just wanted to see if anyone here might know someone before I consider the Quebec/US option. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear Ben - was going to send you a txt to see if you were healed up yet. Hope you are able to get it taken care of soon.

In the meantime if you need me to put some miles on your car just let me know

I know a few, let me ask them to see if they can get you in faster. If not, send a few names over your way regardless.

There are not that many of them, and even less OR time.

Wow...Canadian healthcare system!!!

In the US, you would probably be in the OR this afternoon.

I guess we'll be as "good" as you guys in the coming years with our President's plans.

Thanks Jay, I thought I was getting better until my MRI results came back. I'm still driving around, but maybe I'll be joining the PDK club sooner than I thought. What fun is a cayman when a GT3 is around the corner?

Thanks Pej, it really does seem like we have a shortage of them here. I'll probably end up somewhere in B.C or Montreal as my fallback.

You know, I've spent enough time with my grandparents, and other family members to appreciate our free health care(to an extent). It just that times like this - if you're not dying, then it ain't important.

What hospital or network are you going through? Wait times vary greatly.

At the moment, I am just going with my GP's referral. It looks like he'd be a part of The Scarborough Hospital.

I went to school with a guy who is an orthopod in BC. His name is Dory Boyer. He's a smart guy and does a lot of work with a lot of Canadian Olympic Athletes. As such, he might be a tad busy these days with the Sochi Olympics right around the corner but I can see what his workload is like these days.
