:bs: Water freezes in less then a minute at less then 0. I know this from pulling a wash bucket out side only to remember I forgot my mitt, only to find it stuck in what was now ice after only 2 minutes.

Hand washed my M yesterday (I'm in Kenosha) other than cold hands, no problems. Usually do until it hits 35 lol.

Great idea, I am going to try that.

I've been washing in winters down to the upper 30s for a long time and normally cold hands are the only side effect. Colder than that and I go to a coin op place to at least get the road grime and mag chloride mix off the car between full washes.

I always seem to run out of light and it gets cold, but I've gotta keep her happy. A warm shower afterward brings the body temp back up, lol.

It definitely helps to use warm water for the soap and rinse buckets.

I've tried ONR in past and wasn't a big fan though...I just do traditional wash.

Last week I tried out my power washer with MTM foam cannon for 1st time. Since the foam dwell and rinse does good job in getting most of dirt off car without needing to touch car or water, this may be good option in winter since minimizes what you need to do with your hands.

sub 60, your kidding right. if that was the case it would rule out washing on some summer days. i pulled and washed my track wheels 2 days ago and the driveway hasnt thawed yet from the run off. no gloves.

Hot water in the bucket is what I do.

However it doesn't get below freezing around here.

Not sure what the problem is. Being from Belgium, I always had to wash cars in the cold weather. Just dress warm, and use a bucket of warm water. No problem!

if your hose never thaws all day that can be an issue.

My feeling is if the water flows out the hose then the car is getting washed. I've washed the vehicle a few times where the water freezes as I'm trying to dry.
