The loudest M3 I know is a TazaM3. look for it on youtube. 1000HP e46 M3.

i would still put my money on the pagani zonda floating round to be the loudest... that or the ferrari at uni - that thing is deafening with that exhaust!

Are you sure that your 997 is suppose to backfire at 1500rpm when your just revving the engine?!? Sounds like its tuned like dookie. I know that my friends 996TT with straight pipes would backfire up top, but nothing like that.

Definitely not supposed to, not at that low of rpm. That car is probably running ridiculously rich with some straight pipes and race gas. It doesnt seem like it would drive around town that great. I wonder how it is up top.
