I agree. It's ugly, overpriced, and inferior to the Vette. I'd rather get a C7 Z06 or even a C6 Z06 before this overpriced Beetle.

If it was all about numbers, then all of us would be driving GT-R's. And a Ferrari 458 is garbage because it "only" managed a 7:28 lap time.

Would I ever say the C7 isn't a game changer? No. Do I want one that bad? Eh, not really. Give me a 997.1 Turbo and I'll be a happy man

That's why there's a car industry. Because people want different things.

So what is it all about if not lap times and numbers? Is it about the "driving experience"? So why does the new GT3 only come with an automatic gearbox? Because it enhances driving pleasure?

Again... Ferrari 458 does as well. You telling me that's an "automatic" and not a driver's car? That's the decision Porsche took, so be it. I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

I'm sure it'll be boring as hell as the GT3 heads to a 9k RPM redline

And if you have to ask, look at my sig, I'm all about MT's. But I absolutely wouldn't mind having a dual clutch in my garage eventually though.

I'm just pointing out that it's not all about the driving experience either and that numbers matter. The euro companies are pissed off that they're getting their butts spanked by Chevrolet, Lexus, Dodge, and Nissan so that's why they are switching over to auto gearboxes, to try and keep up with their cheaper rivals at the track.

As much as I love the C7, it's not nearly on the same level as a GT3. It's like a Subaru WRX STi and the GT3 is an E9x M3. They put kinda similar performance numbers, but they're nowhere near a match as drivers cars.

C7 Stingray is neck and neck with a 991S/4S...the C7 Z06 will likely be similar performance to a GT3 but in the end, it will not be nearly as good of a car to drive...just like the C7 stringray simply cannot beat the overall performance and feel of a 991 S/4S...though the only thing that seems to be able to do that is another 911.

Put a better steering wheel on the C6 Z06 in addition to some recaros and the let me know your thoughts

I was always a die hard M fanatic till i had seat time in a stock ZO6 with good seats at the track. Holy Mackeroly is what I said.

Those bad boy ate Porsche's and M cars for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Oh and by the way-when I took delivery of my car at the Performance Delivery in Spartanburg, I saw a row of ZO6s in the back. Asked around and was told they belong to the instructors.

Hello, please look at the fastest lap times again. If you are comparing a half a million dollar hypercar to supercars then I can surely throw in the Porsche 918 right? I believe it holds the fastest lap too, I think it beat your lexus by roughly 17 seconds. That would mean you are the one putting your foot in your mouth my friend. Hope it tastes good.

LFA price is about $400k. The 918 is over $800k, and other hypercars are even more expensive. In case you haven't been paying attention in mathematics class, 800000 is a bit more than 400000.

You were right, I did jinx it. He obviously doesn't understand that 450k vs 150k car either.

Back on point. If the GT3 does this, can only imagine the kind of shenanigans the GT3 RS is going to pull.

The average Lexus costs $50k. The average Porsche costs $100k which is twice as much. So a $400k Lexus is equivalent to an $800k Porsche and the Porsche beats it on the 'Ring by 17 sec.

Think of it this way, on a 2 minute lap, 1 sec is a lot. Here, we are talking 17 seconds on 7 mins, or about 4.85 seconds per 2 minutes on the ring. That isnt even in the same universe. Hell, an 8 second gap is a lot on an 8 minute lap.

What stupid logic. Too many morons who can't handle the fact that Japanese or Americans cars are just as good as their beloved overpriced Euro cars.
