I'm sorry to see these photos! It does look like there isn't a tremendous amount of damage to the chassis' structure, however, so the car may be fixed with relative ease.

FYI that is likely not transmission oil. It's engine oil as you took out the external oil cooler mounted behind the passenger side front bumper.

12:45 a.m. should some it up. Flipping a U and floored and it got away from me. Went up over a curb, smacked a tree and ended up in a parking lot. Rookie maneuver.

note to self, don't turn off traction control past 12:00 a.m

ouch, looks like a straight forward fix. It's likely the engine oil from the hit onto that oil cooler. Likely not transmission fluid.

Did airbags deploy?

The heat exchanger inside that passenger wheel well is definitely for the transmission so your correct on one of the sources of oil. Sorry to hear about this

Fair enough, we're not here to get on your case (most of the time), just want to hear a good story. Sorry to hear it though, glad you're ok -- and as was said above, hopefully you have some leftover insurance money for a few mods

First up, big respect for posting pics and admitting user error. Secondly, hopefully you're not injured. Did the airbags deploy?

For what it's worth, I save my TC off moments for the track, it's a fairly heavy car and the roads around here suck with oil and potholes and general morons who veer into your lane without indication. Just a personal thing, not preaching.

Good luck getting the car fixed up and be safe out there.
