The car handles incredibly, the best handling front engined car I've ever driven. However, even for an NA car, the engine response was laggy.

The car while going fast or carving canyons was fun.
But the car in the city, or in traffic? Absolutely terrible. Clunky, cheaply built, just bad.

Interior was fine although the build was cheap as things didnt always work.

I had a few mods (wheels/tires/springs/intake/exhaust).

The gear selector was awesome, felt like a GT3, however the transmission felt like a mazda3.

Overall I sold it because I didn't feel comfortable in it. But it was just so damn slow below 5500RPM's, had no brakes, and was clunky/awkward while city driving.

Those are tuner cars, so much potential for so little money! By the time you spend M3 money buying a brand new one of these and upgrading you can have an AMAZING car. A BRZ is fun to drive even without all the power. You can push it to its limits without ending up in jail!

This how I view the car as well. Not a complete turn key package but an inexpensive starting point with high potential per dollar

I was looking at the BRZ/FRs as well. Car is as everyone says, under powered. After driving the M and BRZ back to back at NJMP, I would not be able to get into one. I was passing guys with a ton of more experience that I had no business passing. I know, I know we have double + HP. LOL

I made a mistake and traded in my coupe M3 For a FR-S because its was like the biggest thing that hit the market, yea it was slow. SO

I installed the Full blown turbo kit, made 290whp at 10psi. It was ok, it's fast but not a everyday car once its turbo. I sold it and went back and bought a E90 M3 .

I like how everyone ignored the video of the frs passing a gt3 on the oval at autoclub speedway LOL.

Sometimes i wonder whats going on in here. Specs that, stats this, magazine that, weight this, balance that, blah blah.

Id rather have an s2000 and its 14 years old now.

do you fit in one? i dont like driving with my knees on the steering wheel that much.

You smell alot of gas fumes, you need a clutch once you hit 200trq which you will. Clutch isn't friendly, rattle like crazy I went with 2 different clutch set up ,all the same. Plus its to small for me lol. One more thing tire always spinning I had 255s on the rear as well and it didnt help. That's 9.5" wheel. I put alot of money into it and still felt like it need more power. There's probably more things but I can't remember since it been 7 months ago
