One of two scenarios.

1) you are lying to us and are actually running the prototype Gintani twin turbo system;

or

2) the ess car had more wheel spin than u did.

Hopefully u guys can line up later legally and go up to 150 mph or so.

Cool. The Gintani S/C's are strong no doubt. Got to run Tightie's at AA3 and was very impressed.

Yeah, his car is strong. I am running the exact same file as him just my car is 6MT.

295 ad08 on a 10.5 inch wheel has a ton of grip as well, it's not that far off when talking about straight line traction from a roll

Both clearly fast cars.

Agree. But the point is that the ad08 should have sufficient grip for a roll run at 50mph

Specifically when it's a wider tire on a much wider wheel

This.

...something isn't right, especially with all of the Gintani St 2 kits vs ESS 625's being nearly identical in VBox and Airstrip events.

Nice video and comparison. I thought for sure the ESS would pull but I was wrong. You pulled on him pretty good.

I was there that night the gintani car came out on top all four runs total beast.

For a 650 kit Im pretty sure somethings wrong. I know this because this same night three of us cruised back together and I ran the ess m3

335i full bolt ons 110 octane 100%meth 70 additive around 19psi
we did three pulls I was expecting a spanking.
3rd gear roll neck on neck I was a nose infront till I hit my speedo limit 270ish and then he passed me.
3rd gear again same story
2nd gear roll he gained a car on me and I reeled in third and fourth and kept neck n neck till 270

Uhhhhhh yeah something is most definitely wrong with the ESS car. Thanks for posting this information as the ESS and Gintani car should be should be fairly close in acceleration...and they should both be much faster than you.

Just to give you an idea, here is teh result when an ESS VT2 625 races a 450 RWHP FBO e85 n54 335. With a full e85 conversion, this 335 is making even more power than yours (which sounds like a very stout n54 335):

seen this video was expecting the exact scenario lol.. odd
Gintani car is a total beast on the other hand cant wait to see whats in store next. I found it nice how this kit came with a meth bung already in the manifold.

.. Jevons car had no issues thus far, let him chime in. We checked for possible boost leaks that night.
but anyway i am willing to run any 6MT ESS car for comparision sake. But i agree the race should have been much closer.

A Gintani Stage 2 can pull a 650 car... there is not a crazy difference. But maybe we should do another comparision once Jevon gets his car checked out...

Welcome to the club man, anytime a Gintani car does well there is always a supposed issue with the other car lol. And it's funny how people always hate on Gintani and talk about the reliability and drive ability of other kits yet every time a race goes down they're is an issue with the other car, not the Gintani car. I remember one time where there was a race between a Gintani car and another company and when the Gintani car had a documented boost leak, they were crucified. Butttttttt.... Gintani was testing out a new blower setup which had not been down yet on an S65 so they were in uncharted territories and no matter who you are when you push the envelope your bound to run into set backs. Regardless though, people on here forget that they will never be the biggest or baddest out there so just rock the hell out of your car with a big ass grin on your face man! Haha

Thanks! Couldnt have said it better myself, that race your taking about was the two stage 3 cars the ESS stage 3 (DCT) and Gintani Stage 3 (6MT) and even the owner of the ESS car said that Gintani moved well even with a boost leak. But whatever, this will always be a biased forum towards gintani even if they kick everyones ass!!

lol, can you show me another example of this? I used to run a Gintani kit and no one ever made such claims when the other car lost that I can remember and when Josh and Adam ran it was pretty civil and the cars were very close. No one got crucified when I ran a Gintani Stage 3 6MT, with my ESS VT2-625. The race was never posted, it was only brought up because some idiot claimed I was afraid to run a Gintani car, lol. FWIW the Gintani Stage 3 6MT and my ESS VT2-625 DCT, both ran very close 60-130 on the Vbox, same conditions and stretch of road, so the result wasn't that surprising. I can relate to pushing the envelope and dealing with issues, so I never posted the vid and my friend intially brought it up for the reason I described.

First off nice kill, I have no idea if anything is wrong with the ESS car, but if both are 6MT, maybe you're a better driver, or his car just isn't strong. Now the race you are referring too was between a Gintani Stage 3 6MT and my ESS VT2-625 7.5psi, stock motor, it appeared that a TB boot was pulling off the runner on the Gintani Stage 3, this was brought an hour or so after the race when we all refilled at the gas station, so I decided then not to post the run. That run happened two years ago, I now have a Stage 3, built motor. It's not a biased forum, there's a history here that you are not privy too, most use common sense here and can see through the BS, if you want a truly biased, childish and obnoxious forum go to that other one.
