Baseline Dyno

I got my recently-acquired '09 M3 over to the dyno yesterday to get a baseline established.

Relevant info:

2009 M3 - 129k Miles
170E Software
Active Pulley
K&N Filter
Unknown Maint. History

After the dyno I ordered plugs, and I am going to update it to the latest 240E software. I'll try to get back over to the dyno before I do an X-pipe to see what those changes alone net. I expect the spark plugs will fix the high-rpm choppiness that is present in this graph. Overall, I'm pleased for the mileage and unknown history.

Great numbers! Curious how much the pulley and filter are getting you over a true base.

Looking at the power curve I would say its time for plugs as well as possibly bad fuel.

No smoothing on that plot.

Yeah, I generally leave the smoothing at zero when I am looking for issues. It's much easier to see when you have an issue like this car obviously does.

I would guess not much. The pulley is sorta a pain to swap, otherwise I would switch it back. The air filter was filthy when I got the car and it was not much cost difference to get the K&N... And since this car has no MAF sensor I'm comfortable running an oiled filter.
