So much respect for Lexus if they put a naturally aspirated V8 in this thing.

If they're so into a pure experience, figure out a real transmission, please.

The N/A V8 is very admirable. Definitely sounds like a V8 to me, and N/A means no turbo lag.

this car does not appear to handle as well as the m4 on the ring. similar to the isf v e90 m3 spy vids from back in the day. compare and contrast.

And yet the LFA is the best sportscar ever built, no BMW will ever come close.

I know you work for Lexus but the LFA is completely irrelevant to his statement.

Oh ok, then it makes perfect sense for you to be on a BMW forum.

Lol @ Levi. Nothing happening on the Lexus forums? I know new product is slow like molasses and their is not much to discuss but this car. I can understand your frustration.

No it's not.

I've always been a facts and figures kind of guy, and I like to be very principled in my assessment of cars so as to shed any bias.

I'd call the LFA (nurburgring edition, not the regular LFA) the 5th or 6th best sports car because it has the 5th or 6th best nurburgring time (on stock street tires, which is also very admirable). It's 3rd IIRC if you only want to consider street legal cars, but even here it's not the best. The Viper SRT10 ACR is a better sports car.

Nurburgring time probably constitutes 75-80% of my assessment of how good a sports car is.

The M3 is a better sports car than the ISF because it has a better nurburgring time, as is the C63 AMG.

The LFA is a nice car but none of that necessarily trickles down to other cars in the lineup, as evidenced by the fact that the current ISF is < M3/C63AMG.

If the 2015 ISF changes that, then more power to Lexus. It'll be worthy of consideration among M/AMG buyers.

LFA Nurburgring edition is actually number 2 or 3 on the all time list. The car is a BEAST.

I'm glad this has devolved into an LFA discussion. Anyone want to discuss the Focke Wolf 190 and what it has in common with the new M4?

Blame Levi. He lobs the LFA grenade into every thread...

I know, but it's still an ugly thing, released a good five or six years after it should have been, with a terrible transmission. But with a roll cage and tuning for the N'Ring, it is undeniably fast there. Yippee!

I am sorry, but the LF A and Aventador both look like car oragami.
Nothing organic going on there.

Lambos haven't been 'pretty' for many years, perhaps decades, but their road presence is extraordinary. Looks like a death machine rolling down the street. Very intimidating.

I love the LFA from the side and back but the front always remonds me of this:

An orange Aventador was on the north tollway and I just kept looking at it saying "that is ugly as .."

Not my cup of tea. In fact, I would feel silly driving it.

12C spider...that's another story.
