OFFICIAL SoCal OC BBQ

After much work (much more than I thought it would take) I finally found a place that has free parking (I think), ample bbq space (5 pits) and not in Irvine (where cops give out tickets for everything possible)

Location: TeWinkle Park in Costa Mesa
970 Arlington Drive
Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Date: August 18, 2013 (sunday)

Time: 11am (I will be there a bit earlier to try to get a bbq pit space, if you are willing to join me so I'm not by myself please PM me

Who: Everyone!! bring your friends, family, dogs, cat, mouse, bunny whoever!!

It will be a potluck style BBQ so everyone please contribute, I will be creating a list at the bottom of items I feel we should have, please sign up to bring those first, one those have been filled please just be creative and bring something we can all enjoy. (let's not make it one of those BBQs where everyone brings a bag of chips)

Food:
-Burger Patties
-Burger Buns/Hot Dog Buns
-Hot Dogs
-Potato Salad
-Chips
-Dessert (cupcakes etc..)
-anything to grill!
-Paper plates/napkins/utensils
-Charcoal for the BBQ +items to actually cook with
-Please let me know if I forgot anything you think is essential

update:

okay I actually swung by the park this past weekend to check it out because so many people are signed up I wanted to make sure it was a good place. I took some pics as well

1. it is a pretty big park, has a huge playground as well which is nice
2. has indoor bathrooms, the real kind, no just little holes to pee in
3. has an area for bbq with 4 pits then another single pit by itself out more, the area with the 4 pits would probably be best for us since there is a huge area to sit that's covered so we don't get too hot under the sun
4. I discovered a 2nd parking lot that was EMPTY when I was there, the first lot I picked had spaces but it was a lot more full, the disadvantage to the 2nd lot is that it's further from the bbq pits. I figured the best way to arrange it is to see how it is the day of so I drew up a new map, check out parking lot 2 first, if it's full or you don't other bmws, move to parking lot 1. the two look far on the map but they are about a 5 min walk so don't worry
5. I saw a cop when I was there so let's be safe and not cause any trouble. i'm not responsible for any dumb behavior
