Exclamation BPMSport Servotronic Normal/Sport Steering Sensitivity Assistance Custom Mapping

This is always something that I've wanted to change, given I think that the normal and sport modes in the M3 should be slightly tighter. Even better is being able to variably adjust the assist based on program selection coupled with speed dependent settings.

By adjusting these maps, the assist can be changed from zero to full assist at any speed between 0km/h and 200km/h. This could be rescaled to accommodate specific changes above 200km/h, however, this is not necessary.

We will likely be offering these changes free of charge to all existing BPMSport customers after testing has been completed.

For now I wanted to share a graphical representation of the different assist offered by the servotronic steering system:

Normal vs Sport Compared:

X Axis = Speed, Y Axis = Amount of Assist.

Your comments and suggestions on this are appreciated.

We're happy to post Normal and Sport as individual graphs for you to take a look.

Wow this is awesome. Was wondering if this was something that could be customized. I'm definitely interested!! Good job Benvo.

Just out of curiosity, is there a unit on the Y-axis? What is that measured in per se?

Note: I was not paid to show interest in this product haha

Like alway's...only good news from BPM ,great option & for free
One question about this...it would be fantastic when we can change this steering assistance any time while we drive the car ...
So Mike when i get this right, when we choose a setting,we need to keep it this way ?

Correct, so there would be two choices like you have now, normal and sport. But they can be changed in anyway..

So right now the normal mode provides assist up to 200 km/h, and sport stops providing assist at 140km/h.

We will thoroughly test the changes and provide different packages based on the results of the testing. I'm going to hear "It should have came this way" in the future

So just to clarify anything above 140 would be unchanged in this correct? (comparing to stock sport mode steering?) Its too bad as it is at the high speeds where it would be nice to be heavier but if there is no assist above 140 I guess that is as heavy as it gets lol

This would be great. I would love a heavier steering feel at 60mph-90mph so this seems like it would fit the bill

Possible to change it after 140 as well. That's just the main characteristic curve for normal and sport- there are other factors/maps that can have a multiplicative effect on what's posted above.

I noticed in another thread that some servotronic maps were posted, however, they are not the proper maps for E9x M3 current versions. We'll continue to provide you accurate information and ever expanding innovative offerings. We're driven to innovate from passion.

Thanks everyone for your support! And as always, there is more to come

Wow, this is getting better and BPM and Mr Benvo ... They're in a different league altogether. This is the benefit of having a enthusiast as a tuner. Constantly looking to evolve and looking at customer needs and thinking as a customer.

Subscribed and will wait in anticipation. Cheers Mike

Increasing the steering resistance would be a very nice change to the M3. Way to go, Mike!

Let's not go there. We'll focus on our products and other companies can focus on theirs. We have no interest in bickering with any other vendors as it's a disservice to everyone.

Thank you for your support.
