Eugene, does your carpeting on your seat delete go all the way down to the seat bottom section? If so, that looks great!

We left the seat bottoms in on Martin's car, and made a simple carpeted section for the seat backs, similar to what Richard did:

I almost feel bad posting this one as it's completely unnecessary, but here's an obligatory Blue Max seat delete photo:

^Nothing fancy for me either. I actually have a small problem with not being able to use the side bolsters as the bars sit where they used to be. Wondering how I'm willing to address this.

I was just wondering, for those that removed the rear seats for weight, how come everyone didn't strip their rear interiors down to the sheet metal? Are you stuck in the middle and want to keep the trim to keep it luxury looking? I was thinking that if you take away the functionality of rear seats, why not go all the way and get rid of the carpets, door trim, speakers, everything?

Not to knock you in any way, I personally LOVE any car with a roll cage (or even better, race prepped) over a daily driver any day of the week. Just trying to pick your brain.

Its a hassel for me!

but I did weigh the rear seats alone and to my surprise they weight in at 20kgs that is 44lbs.

not bad.

also removing the carpets you will hear a very very loud noise from the fuel pump too.

They sell a rear seat cover (carbon fiber) and it's much much cheaper than the IND Blue Max one off closeout...

Some guy on the forums just did one:
(see link)

Looks interesting to me.

Ease of reversibility in case of a FUBAR situation in my case.

I really like it, the only problem is that for any of these carbon closeouts, the closeout is built for the cage, so I don't think it'd line up with anything else but their own intended cage.

I might just do what wwjd15 did and place a large, flat board where the rear seats used to be. That flat panel/board is used to transport wheels on track days, it's actually pretty clever.
