Will e46 headlight turn signals fit into an e92/90/93 pre lci headlight?

Hello Guys and Gals,

At the risk of sounding daft here's a random question. I know that our M3 headlight assemblies/bumpers are:

1) Closed with the corner inside and
2) leave us screwed when it comes to LCI-headlights not fitting our bumpers

This lead me to a random question, keep in mind I'm just throwing this out there as I'm quite ignorant/naive of the dimensions of each:

Can an e46 corner turn signal assembly fit into a pre-LCI headlight assembly?

I haven't done that much due-diligence on the subject and I thought I would ask. Let me know what you think and if there any diagrams with dimensions out there. Was going to CAD it up if not.
