Almost time for new rubber in the rear. I have +22 offset in the rear currently on v12's 285/30/20 on a 10.5 inch wheel, I want to go 305/25/20. Anyone gone with this setup. Will it rub. I searched but couldn't find anything.thanks.

I have successfully done 305/25/20 (lowered on Eibach springs) but that was on an 11" wheel with an et29. I think that you will rub running 305's on a narrower 10.5 et22 wheel. I had 19x10.5" et22 wheels with 295/30/19 tires and they rubbed slightly. I would stick with 285/30/20 because it won't rub, has a taller sidewall, and is closer in width to the front tire. Widening the rear tires without correspondingly widening the front will add more under steer (assuming all other factors remain equal).

Appreciate the response, seems like i need a set of 19's or lower for wider rubber.

20's are a big compromise. You can run wide tires in the rear on 20's but your current offset is too aggressive. The biggest 20" limitation is the front tire options. You are stuck with 245/30 or 255/30. 265/30 can be done but it will certainly rub at full lock (so will 255/30 but more slight). 19's or 18's are far better for the M3 if you care about performance. If I had 20's, I would run 265/30 front and 285/30 rear and deal with the front rubbing.

You'll also suffer a bit with traction on a 305/25/20. I had them. It wasn't terrible, but you could definitely feel the "stiffness" in the tiny sidewall. The tires, although super wide, tended to hop a bit under hard acceleration. I didn't have much of a choice, as I had 11" wide wheel at ET33. 305 was already slightly stretched, so 285 would not have worked well for me. I agree that the 285/30 make more sense in your case.

Thanks guys, sticking with 285/30/20. My 255/30/20 up front doesn't run though
