Coolant flush covered by BMW?

Does the factory free maintenance cover coolant flush?

Thanks.

Not as far as I know. They probably consider the coolant to be lifetime. Everything is lifetime these days. They don't tell you how long one of these lifetimes is, though. It is safe to assume a shorter life than if you changed the fluids more often.

I have done all fluids but coolant on my 08M3 with 52k miles. Coolant is on the list for later this year.

To my knowledge coolant is not a required service item for BMW as a maintenance item (Does not come up on the cbs data). They will not change it if you ask them too, only if the vehicle calls for it.

BMW stated the coolant is lifetime so they won't change it, but i'm going to change mine out soon.

there a good DIY on the forum which I'm planning on doing soon hopefully, have a couple gallon of bmw coolant sitting at my house for months now.

I change mine every 2 years, when I do brake fluid. It is an easy DIY. The problem with the S65 is there is no coolant drain on the block, so you don't get close to getting all the coolant out. Normally I would change every 4 years, but on this engine with the lack of block drain, I have been going every 2.

+1. Worth doing, and while mileage/how hot it's run are factors age is almost as important, stuff is solubilizing (and coolant becoming more corrosive) whether the engine is running or not, just not as quickly when it's sitting idle
