Not to appear OT, but much of the M3 Aftersales document builds upon earlier detailed info. Since much of the technology was borrowed from the E6X M5/6, here's an in-depth "E60 M5 Complete Vehicle" document for the nerds amongst us

"carbon fibre roof in matching colour" (on page 13)

Does this mean that the roof color matches the rest of the car. If so, that's what I'd get since I don't like the appearance of the carbon fibre.
Or was this the initial plan and then it changed. I remember seeing test models with painted one piece roofs with no moonroof.

Painted CF is not an option, AFAIK. That appears to be an error. I think the mules had a film laminated over the CF to disguise it.
