My friend does not have a 5.0, he has been without a car since the incident.

I am referring to the other video someone posted from 2012 of a guy who crashed his E46 M3 here in AZ on South Mountain. Check post #297

well nobody should be wishing harm or death to your bud
just all be aware what he did was beyond full retard, and to never take publics roads as your personal raceways - there are other people on these roads, even at 0500.

lol, i guess i should have worded my reply slightly differently

Frankly, what the driver does is his own business IF what he does doesn't endanger others ....

but in this case he did endanger others

Even if he didn't crash the car this would have been completely reckless since he was driving in BOTH lanes

Wow! I've driven that road several times and heard about this crash. I also heard from someone else on the drive that day that his brakes and tires were bad. Thank God everyone lived and hopefully a lesson was learned!

We can be thankful that nobody was seriously injured, take it as a huge wake up call/learning experience, and move on.

It's a reminder for all of us who have these amazing cars that ultimately it's what's between the seat and wheel that matters.

Sorry to say it, but your friend was driving like an absolute asshole and if he had died he'd have deserved it. Love that he didn't make the video public until after the insurance payout -- so he's a lying, STEALING asshole on top of everything. Keeps our insurance rates high, gives BMW drivers a bad name, and puts innocent lives at risk on the road. What a cock.

Nobody deserves to die, period. Is he a convicted multiple murderer, rapest, etc ?

Some of you folks are just too harsh on a guy that made a mistake.

We all make mistakes, doesn't mean we should die for it and we don't know for a fact that he hadn't had police cooperation with a closed off section of this road. And if he did have police cooperation then its all on him. He shouldn't die for an accident. His insurance premium more than likely went up unless he had "accident forgiveness" which some of us have. That means if we get in a wreck such as this, regardless of fault, our insurance stays the same.
