Rear end clips

Well I took my car to a body shop to get out 4 little dings that my mother in law ..( the ninja) due to her parking her car behind mine ...never does this and my in a rush -I back into her car. I was barely moving, her civic nothing and my rear end on my M3 (which I found out are actually made of butter)....has 4 indents.

Anyhow, now it looks perfect but I think they either broke a clip or missed it as it has a larger gap on the drivers side then on the passenger side. They argued that the clips after they are used do not support as well. Hmm, however, Instead of having their sorry asses break something else... Ill just take it off myself and do it right.

I figure I will need new clips but where do I get them onine for a good price? Is there an agreed on best place to shop for M3 nick naks online? Or just go to the dealer parts department?

Anyone have a part number for E92 rear end clips....

THanks everyone...

This may help. Real OEM has a lot of good information. Keep in mind I pulled this from a pre LCI, E92, but I'd bet they'd be the same.

Edit. I recently removed my bumper and adjusted it. On the drivers side one of the clips simply wasn't snapped in and didn't require replacement. Took about 45 minutes in all to work everything out. After working the bumper into the clip it closed the gap significantly. If you think it's simply not aligned it may be worth the time to google the video DIY guide and play around for a bit. The gentlemen is correct on the fact they are not load bearing, but with any pressure at all on the rear of the bumper it may have forced out a clip quite easily.

Yep removed the bumper today, they didnt even have the driver side clips and tabs engaged...just the one screw at the top of the wheel well that holds it....on top of that the idiots cracked two tabs..all the clips are fine.
Going to fiberglass/epoxy etc the tabs back together, then replace. Piece of cake...

Fix one thing, walk out with something else broken....the only way to stop the cycle is to do it yourself.

Tired of the stupid ....everytime I take a car somewhere its is the same thing...

Yea, but they only sprayed partial and blended it in and clear coated the rest I guess to blend it in. They did a fantastic job on the paint cant see a dent or scratch anywhere, looks perfect. I guess thats the main thing....

Put it back together today and it looks perfect....I just wish that some day I could get what I paid for. I complained to them that I should get half the price for the body labor since they did a piss poor job ( that was half the cost) if I get half price that will be worth the PITA it was to take off and put back on...

Good luck. The bumpers certainly are a pain, but good to hear it was repairable!
