I wonder how many times that 800 number gets spammed a day

How is everybody's updates going along? I think OP ordered before me so I really hope he has his car already.

Mine apparently cleared customs 7/5. I was hoping I could take deliver 7/12 (since i have the whole day off) but my dealer doesn't think it'll be ready until 7/15-7/21.

This final stretch is killing me LOL. I know it might take a few days to clear the VDC since I ordered the Perforance CF rear spoiler and I know that gets installed there.

Mine reached the Brunswick port yesterday... WW tracking has entries for "Customs Clearance" and the current status is "Delivered From" - However I called the 800 number today and they claim its currently in customs, not yet being touched by VDC. There are a lot of conflicting reports out there about what BMW tells you vs reality, so I'm not sure if I trust their "6-10" day estimate of customs clearance they gave on the 800 number. I suppose I will wait a week and call them again as they requested, since my CA is more or less useless for info.

CA actually called me today and told me the car has cleared customs (in one day!), and is scheduled to ship out on the truck from the VPC tomorrow. I could have it by the end of the week... can't wait!

PertPlus: Glad to hear your car finally broke up with the port of bremerhaven and is courting other ports as we speak

He said ETA is August 2nd. But that may be ETA to the port here in Cali and then another week or so after the accessories get installed for the dealer to take possession. So at the very latest, year 2026.

... yeah, if you're getting accessories installed at the port, you're looking at another week at least.

mine due in at 24th of this month, but i'm getting an MPE installed. so, i'm looking at the first week in august.

but , i'm not holding my breath...

Not to mention the mods I have all waiting to be installed on this bad boy.

Quick side/unrelated question: I didn't know about individual color choices when I ordered but are those options always available or does that depend on a variety of factors?

Only have the CF rear spoiler going on at port, so still hope to see it at dealer end of next week.
Have MPE in my garage waiting; want to drive it a couple weeks OEM exhaust to have something to compare it to...

Someone more knowledgable may correct me, but I believe the individual colors are always available; if you want to pay for it, large. I think it has to be a color BMW has offered/used in the past (?) and it takes MUCH longer to get the car too. I briefly considered Laguna Seca Blue but it was $5,000 option; some others may be more.

to elaborate, yeah the individual paint option is available to customers who order their cars at an additional price. it doesn't always take longer, but can. there is a standard palette from custom colors from you to choose from and they're all roughly 5k a piece to have done to your car.

but, they're not all available to you. it depends on a variety of factors at the time you order. some of those factors can be the dealer and CA you order from. some have more pull than others to get things done. there's a member here, PrimoM3, he wanted frozen brilliant white....from what i understand that took some doing. a lot of time and pull from his CA.

other factors can just be timing. take me for example. i wanted frozen brilliant white, but was denied it because FBW was already being used in a limited edition run in the USA. as a matter of fact, i couldn't get frozen in any color white.

you can also get colors that are not even on the palette list. this can be done at an considerable expense, though.

also, everything i just said about paint here also goes for interior leather, stitching , trim and....i think head liner, too.
