What tires do you guys run?

I've searched through the M3Post trying to find threads regarding this but haven't found much.
Do you guys stick with RFTs?
I'm coming out of an X5 on the 20's. I hated the RFTs. My car has the spare tire kit so I got rid of theose Bridgie POS's ASAP. Love the Nitto Invos I replaced them with. My question is do E90s come with a spare tire kit, or can you get one? And if so what tires do you guys run. If there is no spare kit available, what's the best RFT for this car? It will only be a summer car so I'm only interested in high performance summer street tires.
Thanks in advance for your input.

M3s don't come with run flats and I don't know anyone who has put them on an M3. Do you have an M3? Your garage list doesn't include one so hard to tell what car you're looking to setup.

I have Pilot SS by the way.

Oh wow. Sorry for my ignorance, I just assumed that they did come with RFTs. I haven't gotten my M3 yet. Still have the X5 for now until I find the right car. It will be an E90 6MT on the 19's.
So if they don't come with RFTs, can I assume they have a spare?
How do you like the Pilots? Have you always ran them?

The pilot sports are pretty nice for a stock powered M3, they hook fine and are pretty comfortable on a DD basis.

Question 1 (what tires do you run?) -- You searched? There is a whole section dedicated to wheels and tires....sponsored by Tire Rack.

Question 2 (Spare tire kit) -- No spare tire, just Mobility kit.

Nope! No spare tire, just a "mobility kit" which include a can of sealant and small electric pump. There are spare kits available but no storage in the car so if you really want one it will simply reside in your trunk...

Edit: happos2 beat me to it!

My 2013 came with Michelin PS2's. I am happy with them. As others have pointed out, no RFT's and no spare -- which I found out the hard way when I got a flat at 10 pm on a cold night on day one of ownership! Good luck finding your M3.

That is exactly the position I don't want to be in. Thanks for the well wishes.

have had both ps2's and the pilot super sports. I like the super sports better, last longer, less expensive (at least here), and perform better.

there's a tire-patch kit instead of a spare for the M3.

Do the X3 and X5s come with a spare?

My car came with Conti Sport Contact 3s. I like the Super Sports MUCH better for daily driving.

Typically, no they do not. They come with RFTs. SOME sport package equipped X5's come with a spare kit as an add on option. I got this with mine because I HATE RFT's.
The wifes X3 does not have a spare nor is a kit available. X5s are fortunate to have the space for a kit under the cargo floor liner. It's a donut spare though. No way they could fit a 315/35 20 in there. These tires are absolutely monsterous.

Thanks, that's good to know. This will also be something I will be looking at when finding my M. IMO tires are the single most important thing on any vehicle.

there's a thread out there where someone was able to put together a donut-spare of the M3...looks funny as all donuts are, but it works.

If you plan to stick with RFT go with Michele PS2 other than that I would pick Michelin pilot super sport.

Thanks. I will not go RFT. I hate them. I think I will go for the pilots. They review pretty well. I do like the Nittos I have on my X5. Anyone ever run them on the M?

Pilot Super Sports are excellent tyres but for those of you smoke-crazed, tail-out loonies who want a lower cost performance tyre, Hankook's K110 or "Ventus V12 Evo", are great value for money
