Garage List
2012 BMW E92 M3  [4.50]
The good news is there's still a lot of room for additional faux badging.

1. Buy car that doesn't have the desired badges.
2. Feel bad because car isn't ///M car or is missing badges.
3. order badges at e-Bay
4. Apply badges to new car
5. Feel great about new car because badges are magical
6. Meet someone that knows cars
7. Look like a tool
8. Feel bad about new car...again.
9. Go back to step 2.

2. Hope some bored internet guy takes a picture of your car and starts a thread about it.

3. Troll the badge whores hard.

Nicely done M3Power_! (almost)

You did an OK job photochopping the picture you took but then forgot to photochop the reflection on top of the hood of the picture taking vehicle. Notice how the reflection (attached) doesn't have any of the logos. Especially around the 435i emblem. Also the reflection is missing the left ///M badge which should be there based on the geometry.

Even without the reflection, "sport edition" seems to have the wrong lighting and orientation. Left ///M has the wrong color e.t.c.

Having fun with the forum is OK long as you mask the license plate since clearly the owner did not do this atrocity to his brand new car.

Next time you troll, do it right and photochop better.

"Just why?..."

Is it really any different from the plethora of other "M" badged series cars now pouring out the factory?

Well to be fair the hood reflection cuts off before the 435i is visible so thats not the issue, however on closer inspection the actually images of the badges look fake as fuark

435i is on the reflection and there is no ///M on the opposite side. See attached.

It's no secret that many 335i owners are extremely jealous of M3. They're suffering from the "almost an M" afflication but of course it's nothing like it. It should come as no surprise that 435i owners are going to sing the same tune.

Both the 335i or 435i engines are nothing close to the work of art E92 M3 V8. But comparing the 435i to the M4 the difference is no longer there :

-both of them are 3.0-liter !!
-both of them are twinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder, 24-valve engines !!
-both of them are high-precision direct injection !!
-both of them are variable valve control
-both of them are Double-VANOS and Valvetronic

One might be more powerful and have a different ECU map but they're essentially the same thing with more power.

The only difference in the m4 is two mono-scroll turbochargers and the 435i is
twin-scroll turbocharger. This is not technically significant. The m4 has better bigger intercoolers for reliability but it remains the same underlying engine platform.

This is one reason i bought an E92 M3 and did not wait for an m4. The m4 engine is in everyway the same engine platform as the 435i. I am glad I am not on the market for an m4 and i am a solid owner of the last and true differentiated M3 that can NOT be confused or emulated with a 335i (or 435i)
