Went to the theater yesterday to watch a movie and coming back to my car I find coke poured all over my hood. I went inside the theater to look at the cameras and they said they don't have cameras outside.

Also a while back, I came from the store and found my bumper broken, seemed like someone had backed out and hit me without even leaving a note saying sorry

I don't drive like a douche but it seems like m3s are always a target for some reason.

Anyway, I wanted to hear what surprise someone has left/done to your car? Can't wait to hear your stories.

M3 hate.

This is why I don't leave the M in any lot. I use my other cars for that.

I don't too and when I do I park really far but it was packed and it was a last minute thing. I'm looking into maybe a go pro or something I can attach inside since I don't leave my car alone for more than 3 hours unless its in my garage.

Door dings mostly. Somebody stole the rear tow hook cover off the m. My gf had her side mirror and door smashed while parked overnight though.

Don't have my M3 yet but have seen retarded stuff like that happen. Hope the coke didn't get into the airbox.

I think the little fender benders happen to eveyone and some people have no sense of personal responsibility.

Stupid things like vandalism definitely seem to happen to higher end cars and I think it comes down to jealousy and low self esteem.

Hope it doesn't happen to me.

I once had someone throw a Wendy's Frosty at my freshly-washed Jetta. Looked like it was from a moving car since there was milkshake from the headlights to the B-pillar. Luckily I found it after only an hour or two, and it was at night.

Nothing to the M yet but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. So many hateful people out there.

Sorry to hear that. One of the reasons I didn't get my license place to say "AMG SMD" was because I didn't want to leave my car in a parking lot and come back with it keyed or something lol. Worst thing was I ran into the store (roof down windows up) and someone threw dirty napkins into my car.

Sorry to hear that bro, and there's simply a lot of bimmer haters out there in general. I try my best to be mindful where I'm parking to ensure my car isn't sticking out like a bright shiny object.

I had an e36 in college. During a football game, someone spat on the driver door. It etched the paint. Asshole. I still get angry about it.

Last year, late day at work, dropped of at the commuter rail parking lot to discover my M3 was used as target practice by kids with the ~2" rocks from the train tracks. Windows broke, seats cut, cf roof dinged up from a rock skipping over it, B pillar crushed.. Lovely. I'd have gladly taken coke on my hood compared to my vandalism... I had just gotten the car too.

I found a car security camera online that records 360 degrees for 24 hours. It costs $2000. It would be useful in identifying vandals, but also it could be used to prove you are not at fault for an accident if someone runs into you while driving.

It's called Pro Car Cam with DVR.

I think $11k, iirc. Getting the roof sourced and replaced took a while too.

As far as the seats go, they make replacement matching leather, and they didn't need to replace the entire seats.

Sorry to hear that. I am in almost the exact same boat. My car was keyed a few months back, front to back, head to toe. The delay getting it fixed has been due in part to getting a new roof as BMW protocol is to replace nor repair all CF roofs. The (insurance) tab will be right about $11. I posted pics of all my damage shortly after it happened. I hope your car turned out great.

my brother had an e30 in college. he came back to his car, and someone had set it on fire. no joke. they put a fire starter on the tire and lip of the rim, lit them, and walked away.

I for some reason left my car at McDonald"s late one night for a couple of hours. I came back to my car to find a bunch of ketchup and melted cheese on the hood, like someone rubbed a cheeseburger on my hood. It was 4 am and there was only one other car (Honda Civic) in the parking lot parked right next to my car. Inside were 2 stoner looking dudes. They were eating as I walked up. I asked they guy closest to my car if he knew why there was ketchup on my car and all he gave me was a stupid look. Punched him in the face through his window and left. I didn't get him real square or anything, and it is very possible he didn't do anything, but I can't undo it now.

Damn, talk about a bad "trip" for that dude, but see how you got to that conclusion. Eh, being thorough couldn't hurt...well not you at least...

Yup, not pretty. There's a lot BMW haters out here. My advice would be choose better parking spaces. And never, ever park near another vehicle of less value including another BMW. When I take my M out for errands I park away from everybody else, even if it means walking farther.
