Yeah, if it was a hardtop, the stiffer chassis would have enabled him to steer around the problem!

OP, I hope nobody was hurt and you have insurance. The rest doesn't matter. Get a hardtop next time.

yes fully insured, in BMW now being fixed, quality car everyone got out with out a scratch, only buy a convertible. but will definatley stay with BMW in the future

This is the E90/92/93 forum. You crashed an E46. I personally don't think it's a big deal since you mean well, but technically, you are in the wrong place...
