I absolutely love the CTS-V sedan. You picked the right color for it too.

Love it. Congrats. Ignore all the little fan boys. The V blows the M3 out of the water. Definitely considering a blacked out V. I also like how much more rare it is in Vancouver, compared to the M.

Definite downgrade, not a caddy fan.... But if you're happy, that's all that matters really.

Who's most people? Rednecks? NASCAR nuts? Hillbillies? I'm getting tired of you bashing other people's opinions calling them fanbois in almost every thread because they don't like the same cars u do. Chill out man, everyone has a right to their opinions and just cause not everyone agrees with ur taste in cars doesn't make them fanbois. Why don't you make a valid argument instead of throwing the old fanboy card out in every post.

Actually seeing as i'm one of few who stated my honest opinion, kinda makes me not a "fanboi". I think the masses who are massaging his nuts, like yourself, are more "Fanbois". Gayest term on the internet, by the way...

Did i not follow up with "what matters is that you're happy"??? It's a public forum, last time i checked people were allowed to state their opinions. I respect the car, but for me personally, it's not my taste...and i LOVE MR e90s. That's all...simple as that.

Typical fanboy response. You didn't just say you believe it's a downgrade, you said it's a definite downgrade, with absolute certainty. I wonder if you knew that despite the extra weight, the CTS-V was still 6 seconds faster than an E92 M3 around the Nurburgring.

That may be fine, but I've been faster than EVERY V I've seen on track in the last 4 years, disliked the interior, and do not like the transmission...so IMHO it is a definite downgrade. Also, I am a fan of my car and am male, so am clearly a "fanboy" the insult is lost on me

What always boggles my mind is why the folks calling us 'fanboys' are hanging out on this forum? It is an M3 forum. However, we *do* discuss and love other cars, so some folks don't care for the caddy - so what?!

Last time I checked you were drinking heavily from the GT-R kool-aid. Or should we use the term 'fanboy'?

Typical noob behavior phil...

Noob saibot WINS!!! He was my favorite the vs. section can get a bit heated, but these are all awesome cars we're discussing and its like bitching about Aniston or Jolie... Don't think I'd be kicking either out of bed

Congrats on the CTS-V

The CTS is a larger car than the M3 for sure. It is supposed to compete with the M5 in terms of performance class. Also, the styling was fresh when it came out but it is starting to look a bit dated now.

The ATS looks a lot sharper and according to reviews drives a lot sharper. I'll wait for the ATS-V when that shows up.

No corvette V8 mo'or though. It'll only be a turbo six, supposedly making 380hp or so. Seems like it will be quite slower than the F80 M3.

And I wonder if you knew that the caddy has 142 more horsepower than an m3, on a track like the ring having that much more power should yield a bigger advantage than just six seconds.

yes, 142 hp more, while offering more room and interior space than an M3, faster on a track, and better brakes, while having the same price as an M3.

Simple. Interior space doesn't matter to me. And for a car that I regularly take to the track, the M3 would be easier on the wallet. The extra 500 lb weight of the CTS V means more frequent tire and brake replacement.

Horsepower isn't everything. I'd trade power for a more fun driving experience any day.

From all reports, the ATS's chassis is stellar and beats BMW at it's own game. We'll see once the ATS-V comes out what that is about.
