Mitch, your car is SICK as always. Can't wait for another shot behind the wheel

Active does awesome work! This is another proof of their superiority.

and gotta give props to PRS for doing an awesome job installing and catching that bearing stuff before it became a problem. Shows their attention to detail.

See you tomorrow?!

those bearng are pretty scarey. I would say they were ready to fail at any moment. surprised there was no crank damage since the bearings looked scored. Anyway congrats and I cant wait to see more.

How's your level 3 treating ya? Seems like quite a few people are hopping on board the generation 2 train! Very glad to see this as we all know competition will bring out the best in the vendors.

I would say those bearings have normal wear given the circumstances. Rod bearing replacement needs to be on all SC'd owners maintenance list.

BoostedM, please post part number for the VAC coated rod bearings, cannot find them on their site.

This job has been on my mind for the last few months...

Not at all. Andrew and I are sir at the same side of the table- this time.
If his products were in my price bracket I'd be all over that.
I love aa products. Except their v clamps- but that's another story.
My friend misunderstood. I was asking for a review of the new bigger blower and the way the car responds to it from someone who owns the kit versus manufacturers advertisements. But being genuine over text is hard to pick up on. That could be sarcasm or not.

Rod bearings are done from under the car. Drop the oil pan and here ya go. All sc m3 should get it done and do oil changes ever 4 to 6 km. this motor is unbelievably reliable, even if the rod bearings disagree with me. If I'm not mistaken around 400 for parts and 8 hours labour.

VAC-HPRBS-S65 is what I'm showing on the invoice. Not sure why they don't list them on the site. We had to call to get prices

Yup! Just drop the subframe and oil pan and there you have it!

Thanks for the love guys. Way too many of y'all to reply to every one, but it's all greatly appreciated

I think the best way for me to describe the change is, much smoother power delivery. Much more torque starting at low rpm. Back to the "stock" power delivery characteristics with a load more of HP and TQ. It is a much more enjoyable driving experience yet MUCH quicker and linear. I can appreciate Active's vid of drifting Blitz as this was a more difficult task with Gen 1. Power would bounce in and out of big power. Not any more! Drift till you hear rims on the ground now Along with this I feel my DCT is mated better as well. Some of the strange DCT glitches are gone. The extremely deep tone from the exhaust is a added treat as well. Hope this helps a bit.

Agree. Although all should realize this is not a do at home in a dusty garage scenario. It is still a task as easy as it sounds ,and should not be rushed or penny pinched on.

Went in for some wheel fitment tests today at CCW. One more test tomorrow on a new style and then wheels will be ordered and built. Please note, the wheel used for the test is only a test built wheel, and will not be the final wheel on the car

Pictured is an 18x11.5 CCW Classic with a 315/30/18 Toyo Proxes R888. Trying out a 19 of a different style tomorrow and seeing what kind of widths we can get with that.

I switched to a DCT M so the build was delayed. It's going to be a completely new build. Will def go with the brace as I've followed your thread and it seems to be a no brainier for FI DCT M's.
