Me thinks someone doesn't understand Porsche so well. I'd take the M3.

If standard Carrera, I'd opt for the M3. But Carrera S over an M3.

I replaced my 2011 E92 M3 with a 2009 C2S. It only makes 385 BHP, but it is lighter and more nimble. I think a base carrera would feel noticeably slower than the M3.

I love Porsche but would not take a base C2 of that gen over an M3. I know I'd regret that eventually.

Do you miss the M3 or like Carrera S more? Which is or seems faster?

I like the Carrera S more, but I don't think its a huge difference. M3 is just as fast running around town. I have not yet taken the Porsche to the track, but I suspect that's where the difference would be most noticeable.

To my mind, the M3 (or most sports cars) are an emotional decision. There are plenty of other cars out there that offer better mileage, comparable power, and better comfort at a fraction of the cost. The decision to go from the M3 to the C2S was more emotional than seeking to make big gains in speed or performance.

M3 with Warranty.
I like Porsche, but Porsche after warrant period can be pricey.

Play safe or not.
If money is not a problem, I drive a Porsche.

If you only look at cars from an HP perspective than yes, and no the Mustang's v6 doesn't make that much power. I think it take's driving certain cars to understand where they stand in their price point.

A really good condition low mileage 997.1 TT is about 80K these days. I'd rather get a 2008 TT than a 2010 C2.

I'd take a 911 Turbo or GT3 over an M3, but that's it for the Porsches'.

Porsche's are very reliable and while repairs are expensive it isn't as though working on a M3 is inexpensive.
