2015 Corvette with factory dashcam option

http://money.cnn.com/2014/01/05/auto...html?hpt=hp_t2

I wonder if BMW and other sport car manufacturers will follow suit? BMW already has the app but will they go to the next level with pre-installed cameras? I could see this happening on the M-series cars (especially the M3/4)...

Wow...that's pretty cool. Suddenly, I feel like we're in Russia. Lol

Also...I feel like it'll be a $5k option.

Garage List
That particular feature/footage is gonna be used for more than it was intended to be IMHO. Big brother WILL be watching and warranty claims will be voided. I'm wondering if the video can be COMPLETELY erased and is it constantly recording on the sly. Just some thoughts...
Kinda cool anyway.

I thought the same thing, especially since a friend had sent me this pic

Can't imagine it would be $5K though. I'd guess around $2K even though it might cost them $500 in parts to pull it off...

It's Chevy not BMW. It'll probably be $500.

...and an extra 2k for the deviated stitching that you absolutely need to have on the camera cover.

Chevy can have my money. The way its going, Z51 C7 will be the one to get.

ZO6 will be supercharged anyways so no dice for me. Honestly, I don't know why BMW should ever get my money considering the turds the F8X M3/M4 happen to be.

Corvette certainly listens to track day enthusiasts especially considering the Performance Data Recorder also overlaps sessions in real time and more...saves time and money trying to do it separately with expensive software.
