BPM got all up in my car

Picked up at the Performance Center this morning.

By mid-afternoon, I was in a hotel parking lot with an LTE hotspot and a Microsoft Surface tablet setting Benvo loose inside a car I had just been reunited with about 80 days after I dropped her off in Frankfurt, Germany.

Sat in 100+ degree sun in Charlotte, watching my car vomit errors for what felt like forever. And then, he was done.

I put on 1425 miles in Europe, and about 100 miles up to Charlotte from the PCD. I put on another 20 miles tonight. I can say the Stage 1 + DCT + Servo tune is not exactly life changing, or necessarily "oh wow, POWER!!!", but it settles a lot of awkwardness with the M3 when you're not pushing the car all the way. First gear lurching, GONE. Mid-throttle rolling starts have more usable power on tap.

Everything is smooth, smooth, smooth. Steering tweaks are perhaps the most noticeable... nice curves in there. No need to dip into M mode all the time for most of the stuff... which really makes it a treat to hit the M button to really let the car loose.

I've got several hundred more miles to go tomorrow back to NYC, but it will be an absolute pleasure tearing up the highway with BPM's tune.

I'm sold. The results are solid, and Mike is a genuinely nice guy who clearly loves what he does. Thanks again!

Congratulation on your new M! Glad to see someone here post another review. I am highly consider getting the stage 1 or 2 + DCT + Servo tune. M3 is my daily and I drive it quite slow with tons of lots of go traffic. Sounds good to me it helps at mid throttle rolling starts. Speaking of smoothness, this remind me how smooth the PDK is are the 991. Please give us updated when you enjoyed tearing it apart on the freeway.

If you think that's impressive, try the Stage 2 (eventually). The power you get from going catless is very nice.

I violate lots of BMW's

It's one of those things where it's wrong but it felt so good, that the car just wants it more and more

Sorry... I had to!

OP: glad you're enjoying it. If you told me you were in 100 degree weather I would have moved a bit faster!

Let us know how it is after terrorizing some highways and really putting the servotronic to the test in turns

600+ miles later I am grinning as much as I did after the first 1400 miles of ED. The car is alive... Steering is spot on with the servo upgrade. Engine response is nicely tuned... not twitchy like sport... smooth and responsive. DCT is great... I want to say the downshifts are more immediate. Upshifts feel about the same.

This is good stuff. Honeymoon isn't over yet but the car is different for sure than when I picked it up, and I'm definitely impressed so far with the BPM goodies.

Try S6 mode with DSC off. It's a next level experience.

BPM is totally legit. I have all 3 software maps - tune, steering and EURO DCT. BAM.

The tune really isn't all about raw power, but more "usable" power across the RPM band. The DCT software really smoothes out the shift transitions all the way through. The Servotronic steering mod gives you an even better "feel" for the ride. It's a trifecta.

Enjoy and drive safe!
