Frozen Grey with Clear Bra Install?

Anyone have a Frozen Grey (or any Frozen paint) vehicle with a clear bra application?
I'm not talking wraps, but factory BMW Frozen paint with a 3M, or similar clear bra?
I recently had mine done, and am not pleased with the results.
Thanks for any input!

I have seen a few done with matt and sating finish films. I think the Xpel Stealth film is the closest you will get to Frozen grey. The paint is so delicate that it needs the clear bra or bugs will etch the paint... plus it chips and scratches easily. I have also seen one where the company installed a standard clear bra (glossy) over the paint and it looked terrible. Not sure what they were thinking.

You had me going there for a sec. Your avatar says you have a 2013 E90 and since there is no such thing, you might wanna change that.

You should look into Satin Guard PPF. Contact Premier Mobile Group in California.

I know it is possible.... but not familiar with the west coast installers. Xpel Stealth is a strong rec! Good luck bro!

Did a lot research for my frozen white and they do not look good up close. I decided to deal with no protection rather than the looks of a bra on frozen paint.

What film did your installer use?

Were you able to get it re-done?

I will be doing my car as soon as it arrives. Reaches Brunswick tomorrow.

My installer who has done amazing work on my previous cars is recommending Suntek Matte (PPF-M) or Xpel Stealth.

I went with the Xpel Stealth PPF and it's perfect! No one can tell that it's even been applied. I have heard that this film doesn't work well with the frozen black, and am unsure about the other frozen editions other than grey.

Is the Xpel Stealth PPF self-healing?

My installer recently has started recommending Suntek PPF-M which he says looks identical to Xpel Stealth but it is also self-healing so handles impacts better.

Yes, it has the "self-healing" properties; however, I have yet to see how this actually works as I've had no damage to-date.

For all you Socal/OC area guys, hit up my boys Bing or Edgar over @ Extreme Autowerks. They do legit work and have tinted, applied clear bra on both my M3's, and even told me they have access to matte type bra's.

-EDIT-

just make sure you drop my name for good pricing.
