Mode Carbon l Rimier Motorsport's Arctic Camo vs. Frozen Black M3's

This journey starts at Rimier Motorsports, featuring a pair of truly unique E92 M3’s. Rimier’s very own Arctic Camo “Mr. Hartmann” was paired with the most recent creation in the Mode Carbon Portfolio, the Frozen Black “Black Diamond.” Both cars in this duo were built with different approaches but share a commonality: Mode Carbon throughout.

First up is Rimier Motorsport’s signature vehicle, “Mr. Hartmann,” the track equipped E92 M3 DCT. This car was named in honor of the best fighter jet pilot in US Armed Forces history. The Arctic Splinter Camouflage was done in-house by Rimier Motorsports, which pays tribute while perfectly suiting the aggressive track-ready persona of this machine.

This project takes all of the essentials for a proper track/street mixed use vehicle into consideration: stance, ride quality, aesthetics and power enhancement. Starting from the ground up, this M3 has been outfitted with 19” BBS CH wheels wrapped in Michelin Super Sports for the street. When the car is taken on the track, this setup is swapped in favor of 19" SSR Type C wheels and Continental race slicks. This wheel and tire combination is coupled with a JRZ RS1 coilover system and Ground Control camber plates. The Ground Control features front adjustable sway bar endlinks and custom adjustable rear endlinks, fabricated by Rimier. The suspension system is topped off with a Macht Schnell EDC Emulation Module, which disables the EDC monitoring system supplied by BMW. The emphasis placed on suspension modification allows this car to maintain ride quality suitable for the street while doubling as a dynamic track setup when the moment arises.

The highlights of the exterior enhancements are undoubtedly the carbon fiber pieces provided by Mode Carbon. The front end has been outfitted with the Variant II GTS spoiler, providing both a menacing demeanor on the track and a dazzling street presence. The rear is set off by the sharp fins of Mode Carbon’s all new LM Race-Series Diffuser, which will debut this month.

Power upgrades consist of a BMC filter, Active Autowerke Underdrive Pulley and an Innotech header back iPE Valvetronic exhaust. This adds modest improvement in power delivery for a car that is no stranger to track-time. This attention to detail and emphasis on improvement of power-to-weight ratio is exactly what you’d expect coming from individuals who race the cars they build for a living.

Next up is the exquisite “Black Diamond” portfolio build, a project completed only just recently. This Frozen Black E92 M3 6MT has been equipped for warfare, with ammo supplied from only the best in industry.

No expense was spared in the wheel department. This setup consists of HRE P43S's finished in matte black, paired with Michelin Super Sport rubber. The car was then outfitted with a KW Sleeve Kit. Stance check. This M3 gets the same treatment in the sound department with an Innotech header back iPE Valvetronic exhaust. Adjustable valves allow for just the right amount of decibels for any given moment.

Next this car was outfitted with the latest from Mode Carbon: the LM Race-Series Diffuser along with the always stunning Variant II GTS Spoiler. Nothing can provide a better contrast to the Frozen matte black paint than the abundance of glossy, pin straight carbon fiber. The combination of these exterior enhancements and the exclusive Frozen Black paint result in a project as rare as a Black Diamond.

Not only did Rimier do a great job with these builds, but they were also an absolute pleasure to work with. We’d like to give a special thanks to Mike Sullivan of Rimier Motorsports for lending us his talents. We would now like to take a moment to introduce our new licensed distributor, WPI in Huntington Beach, CA. John Evans of WPI is the man to contact in regards to getting your hands on our new LM Race-Series Diffuser debuting this month, as well as the rest of our product line for your M3. John Evans is also the man behind the photography for this project, done under his newly formed Enleas Photography, the next chapter in his already impressive automotive quest.

Please send me a PM for more information regarding our all new LM Race-Series Diffuser.

Cheers Guys. #teammode
