Which Rims would you buy on a $2000 budget

Here goes nothing...lets just say you Only had about $2000 for a new wheel setup you'd only use during the summer. Ive been looking at 18" BBS CH that go for about $2300. I have 18"summer tires from OEM that id make use of so the cost would stop at rims. Option 2, are some Enkei wheels that run under $1300 total for wheels alone. While I do have a budget I would like to purchase relatively light wheels. I found that the BBS wheels weigh about 26 lbs while the Enkei's weigh about 23lbs...a real bargain in my opinion. I realize some of you might dismiss all these options altogether and just wait to afford a better more expensive option. Anyway, these are my choices. What would you do?

Something used but high quality in the for sale section. Advan, Volk, BBS or OEM comp package wheels. Sell your OEM tires so you can increase your budget to $2500.

You could do ZCPs. Or a used set with tires included.

Enkei NT03......I simply see too many APEX wheels around, APEX wheels also great looking wheels for the money though. Look at some used wheels in the for sale section as well.

I checked but nothing there. Not sure I want to buy used wheels from someone, risky.

Thanks for other suggestions. Ill check out Apex. As far as selling my OEM tires, a good idea but I would still need to buy new tires if I purchased $3000 rims....

Yes, damn straight, checking them out at work on "VACmotorsports.com". Looks like they are built specifically for BMW fitment. Its exactly what I was looking for but did not find on the typical Wheel websites.

Found ZCPs on Turner page but they only come in 19's. Im probably on a short list of people who prefer 18's.

I'm suggesting you find a set of used wheels and tires. That's the best bang for the buck. There are things you can do to lower the risk on a used wheel purchase. The biggest concern I would have is buying a bent wheel. You can make the purchase subject to having them spun on a balancer. You can also try to find something local.

I like the Enkei NT03 option. They are certainly a good combo of cheap, light and aggressive sizing. I considered getting a set for the track (18x10) but they don't clear BBK.

It's been said many times before but honestly I'd go with APEX wheels. I run Volks but am thinking of APEX 18" ARC-8 as my track set. They're light, look good, and have good support on this board. You can't go wrong for the price and I think there is a group buy going on for the EC-7 models right now.
