South OC Tire Shop Recommendation

Hey Guys,

I need a wheel/tire shop recommendation for Southern OC with a Road Force Balancer that won't damage wheels.

I've tried a few places now and they always seem to damage a wheel, brake valves, or fail to properly balance the wheel. I'm just done with all of the nonsense.....I need someone reliable even if it costs more than average to get the job done correctly.

Thanks!

You can check Hunter's site for shops that have the Road Force machine.

Good luck. Might want to try to contact tlp. He had a shop he liked in Huntington beach.

Thanks Austin!

One of the shops is only a few miles away from me AND it's a Discount Tire. I buy all of my tires from Discount Tire Direct so this could work out well.

Let's just hope they can mount tires without damaging wheels.

They have those $100 coupons on 4 tires sometimes. Best time to reload on track tires.

Road force balancing is good but more important is the skill of the technician. You can get a great tire job from someone using some old machines, as long as it is calibrated correctly, if that person is a skilled technician.

I am super anal about my wheels and tires. The tire place I had mine done at, the technician, manager and I inspected every wheel and marked all the imperfections before touching the wheels so I know what they are doing. I also ask them to hand torque every wheel and no power tools to remove or re-install the wheels... and these are OEM wheels.

Supreme power! Go see Tam. They saved me from buying a bent wheel, gave me all black valve steams (my wheels are black) and road forced my wheels perfectly. I have no vibrations with MS spacers. That's my suggestion.

Most Discount Tire locations don't have road force balancers, and they WILL scratch your wheels, ask how I know.

Malek at MRF Engineering did mine. I dropped off my car and he gave me a ride to work. He picked me up from work at the end of the day and I went on my way! Easy!

In the past I've always felt like I'd be a douche if I made a big deal out of these types of things, but I think I'm getting over that. I like your example and I may try that.

Last time I was over there, Malek indicated that he'd do this. I was pleasantly surprised. Perhaps I'll give him a ring.
