I actually like the name,... it makes it stand as TheFerrari - LaFerrari since the way it is said in italian,... la macchina Ferrari, anyway,... it looks amazing! With the Enzo, you had to look two, three, four times to appreciate the design cues, aerodynamic features, proportions and balance, the LaFerrari is just astonishing in any angle, love at first sight and what a modern Ferrari should look like. It is IMO the perfect design evolution from the 458, FF, F12 to LaFerrari. It is striking and pretty, the Lambo Veneno is just too much, the P1 is more a rival in those terms but I can think that none will be as fast in a racetrack,... I mean LaFerrari is 5 full seconds faster than the Enzo at Fiorano, that's like 4.5 seconds faster than the F12 which was the fastest Ferrari ever just a few months ago.
BWT did you see Alonso's smile,... lucky bastard!

I must be getting very old mentally as I don't think any of these new generation hyper super cars are good looking. The P1, the Veneno, the huayra, and this "LaFerrari". Not that I can afford any of those but I don't know. Time to make an appointment to see my doctor again. Sigh

Good looking they are not. Todays high performance cars are computer designed to maximize efficiency in performance and speed. While it is really nice to have all that, it still doesnt mean its gonna look good. |

I never really warmed up to the look of the Enzo but find this car quite appealing. I am also iffy on the Huayra. It was a major aesthetic let down after the Zonda but the Zonda also only grew on me a few years into production (mainly due to better looking variants being released). The Reventon was also a bit of an eyesore, even in person.
FWIW, ferrari designs of late were pretty bland until the 458 and F12 came around. The 599, Cali, and 612 were all design flops IMHO. I also found the MP4-12C didn't do it for me either but the P1 is a massive improvement. At the same time, Porsche has released winner after winner. Sometimes evolutionary rather than revolutionary is a good thing. Oh well, I'm just rambling now...
