Why are you scared of eating horse meat? It's the same as any other meat. You probably wouldn't even know the difference.

I ate camel while in Saudi Arabia, it was great. Maybe a little tougher than beef, but had a little more meaty flavor.

Becasue horses are given certain vaccines that if the meat is consumed by humans casues a severe blood disorder that can eveantualy lead to a painful death.

Its fine to eat horse meat but you want to make sure that specific horse meat was mean for human consumption and not the kentucky derby.

Ya I must say the whole “don’t eat meat X” never made sense to me. I’ve never eaten horse meat in my life, but I don’t see what on earth is so “gross” about it, or most other meats for that reason. Meat is meat, maybe you like it maybe you don’t, but there is essentially no difference between a cow and lassie.

Americans are just scared of eating anything that can't be bought at vons. I had some kangaroo recently; ordered it online and cooked it myself. Was some of the best tasting meat I've had. Get out of your bubble people.

I don't really see how you could have decided this was the best tasting meat you've had.

I've had kangaroo as well, but it was overly gamey, I ate it, but a nice steak or some nice venison (which is a bit gamey too) would have been preferable. Have also tried ostrich (not highly recommended either) and frog legs (something like chicken, but so little meat that it is not worth the effort).
