are the primary cats the same in E90 and E92?

planing to buy a used challange xpipe that has stock E90 m3 cats welded to it for my E92 m3. any problem? TIA

Xpipe is the same
Vf supercharger + tune/H&R coils/ Akra evolution exhaust/Volk te37/ Rs-3 tires/ Brembos /TIal BOV/ OSS blacked out headlights/LUX v3/Led taillights/ Challenge Front lip/ P3 vent gauge/ F10 m5 shift mob/Matte black front grills/ And a funky air fresher

I was in this same boat awhile back thinking I did not want to remove my cats and therefore wanted an x-pipe that kept the cats in place, however I am really glad I did not. The performance and sound is really not existent unless the primary cats go. I have test pipes with my secondary cats intact. The secondaries are 200 cell which is similar to the high flow cat options some have.

I was concerned about smell most of all but with 200 cell cats there is no smell whatsover unless idling for a long time in a relatively enclosed area.

I am getting an AA xpipe with HFC to replace the test-pipes but either optiona atleast gives you a power bump. With the HFC xpipe comes better sound and performance. A lot of why the sound improves with a good xpipe is because its catless/HFC and the velocity of the exhaust gases are much faster not having to get bogged in a cat, therefore you get the really nice and raspy raw exhaust note. Some don't like that but most who have done it really do I would say!

At the end its just not worth it to do the challenge or fabspeed xpipe without a HFC option.

Removing secondaries which these options do really has shown to do almost nothing, including limited change in sound
