In all seriousness , a scant few were lucky to get the very limited Pratt-Whitney edition with an 85k redline.

For those saying no load revving is bad...then technically is rev-match down shifting bad?

Completely different. Rev matching takes a short time, while sitting in your parents front yard revving your dad's car is bad.

Typically that's only a very quick blip, doesn't typically go that high (what's the point of downshifting if you'll already be at 7.5K?), and it's better for your car overall than shifting without a blip. Technically using your engine at all is "bad" since it will wear it out somewhat, but you have to draw the line somewhere. At least rev matching has a benefit, unlike revving in place.

It's "you are" or "you're". Just saying. You can check with your mom on that too while you are at it.

Reving an engine from idle to red with no load is bad for the engine. When you rev match to downshift, the engine has load up until you clutch it, then your only reving up for a split second, maybe 2-3k rpms, different conditions.

btw not only its bad for the engine, its also not good for the transmission. Then its not good also for the clutch if your doing it with your clutch dis engaged. So all in all dont do it. Not a good idea. No reason to do it.
