Smog Check Ca

Has anyone with a supercharger and primary cat delete had their car smogged. Is there any shop around in socal that would pass smog without going through the hassel of putting the car back to stock.

If there is a shop I'd think they would prefer not to be named on a public forum. CA is tough...

I would have to agree with you. They keep coming out with tougher laws every year.

Well, to be fair many areas have serious smog problems, so I actually think the laws are just... just a pain in the ass for modding.

When would a 2009 model year car require smog.

No idea... I'm in NY, don't have to deal with a sniffer.

I am a California resident but bought my cars out of state and abide by their laws. I am exempt from California bullshit.

Anyway I know I would have to get a smog check yearly with an 08 or 09 M3 in San Diego but with out of state registration I dont even worry about it.

You're not exempt, you're cheating by registering your car out of state while being a CA resident

When your vehicle is required to be tested depends on which county in California you live in.

Here is the link for more info:
http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/smogfaq.htm#BM2535

The penalties and fines for the inspection station and technician make illegal smog checks less profitable.

You still have to have it smogged if you register it in Cali. Regardless where you bought it.
