VIN number is in the door jam and in the bottom corner of windshield. There's other places but those are the most accessible.

I can't comment on log book or number plates as those are likely UK related.

Congrats on your first car.

Damn just got your license and got an m3! Awesome. Be responsible and learn to drive before getting on it and possibly getting in an accident!

Congrats. Keep it safe on the roads and first mod should be performance driver training.

+1 - the level of performance these cars have can get even the most experienced driver in touble - My first car was an MGB - back in the day. Almost killed myself several times hot rodding around. Dont let it get away from you. And congratulations on having a dream car as your first ride.

And I was in heaven with an 11 year old MGB with a 4 speed and non-synchro first gear (that will teach you how to shift). As my girl friend said at the time - I drove it like I was Bobby and Al Unser rolled into one. Now I guess they would say I dove it like I stole it. Times have changed.

I'm 17 and currently don't even have a car. Would be stoked to own even a brand new accord coupe, altima coupe, etc. My dream car is the E92 M3. Hopefully I'll own one one day. Your parents must be wealthy. Not hating. Just don't wreck it please. 😁

Having survived the OPs current age behind the steel steering wheel of a terribly unsafe Dodge Daytona Shelby Z, I must say it is insane to start one's driving career in a RWD 414hp car. Please, please, please do yourself and all others on your roads a favor and sign up for a car control driving course. BMW offers them specifically for teenagers at a reasonable cost (at least reasonable if you can afford this car).

+1. M3 as a first car, so lucky. Be safe on the road.

Any recommendations on a nice carbon steering wheel. I found the one below but they wont have them for a few months. I would prefer to keep it below 700 but can spend more if needed.

I was not sure about those but got them anyway as they were cheap so i can check what they look like.

They look like they will make a good boomerang once i have had a look.

Wouldn't it make sense to get your own place first instead of a car?

Probably the fact that you don't have a drivers license and are about to get your first car. In the US at least, that would normally indicate someone who was fairly young, i.e. 16 or 17.
