I don't park like that for fear of keying. It's pretty much like putting a "key me" siren on your car.

You can park away from people without making your car a target.

I don't really know if this actually saves your car. It makes it more vulnerable for people to do things.

1) Took up to spots (+15 douche points)
2) Parked backwards (+5 Douche points)

Coming to a grand total of a phenomenal +20 Douche Points

...Super Douche/attention whore

I find I only have PDC in the rear, so I back up against objects so I don't smack anything I normally would in the front apron area.

I do not get it neither. Moreover, in that particular spot - there is no walking pathway behind the car, at least as I can see, so that means that when the driver start the car he doesn't bring all the exhaust to the pedestrians noses.
I would understand the point if there would be a playground or something behind.

Yep, that's the reason I always park backwards, if there are no people behind me. I guess my karma is full with 5 douche points by now =)

I live in a condo and park ride outside my window. My neighbor hates when I reverse park because of the noise. I would think it would be more quiet in the morning when I pull out though.
