Lip installed. A few shots

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Finally installed ModeCarbon GTS v1 lip. The install took about 2-3 hours. I used provided 3M tape and drilled holes where it was possible. Drilling carbon fiber is easy, just go at a very slow RPMs and no pressure.

enjoy the pics

** oh, by the way. I was in a rush to the theater and while parking I hit the yellow thing head on very hard! (I never let this sh%t happen, but in a hurry..) The sound was awful, I though that this will be the end of my lip, but to my surprise I got only a few scratches, it sdid not crack and still looks great. This lip is pretty strong!

Ouch glad you didn't do any real damage OP. That's why I almost always back into parking spaces with those guards or by sidewalks, you never know.

That looks very nice! I am contemplating which lip to get for my car this spring so it is good to know that this one can hold up to minor parking issues. I will say that after having a couple of MINI's I tend to park farther away from the curb than I should so hopefully it wouldn't be an issue.

I went into this knowing that I will scrape and scratch it here and there, it is almost inevitable, especially in Houston. Roads here are crazy, and driveways are very steep and can be taken safely only by humvees! Although it was 100% my fault since that stopper I hit was way too high even for a stock car.. I was lucky that I did not break it, if I did I'd be sad too..

What you see on the pictures below was 15 mm lower than ZCP or 25 mm lower than stock on 18's. I have a brand new house (this is how they elevate houses here and I am not in a flood zone) and when I went to check it, I knew it was going to be close. Here is the picture of how it was.

I drove for a little while like this and it was painful sometime. So I raised it to 10 mm lower than ZCP or 20 mm lower than stock suspension. I can live with this ride height, anything higher (I tried that too) looks unacceptable to me esthetically speaking

For me this lip was the winner because it resembles OEM GTS the most. It costs less than 1K and it is as high of a ground clearance you'll get probably with the lip (not counting OEM splitters )

I can vouch for its strength, because it was a loud bang in the underground garage, I felt the shock running through my balls

You sir are a brave man! I like real-world tests personally. The only testing I do is at an angle, just the way I'd take that driveway!
