Am I the only one?!?

Driving to work today I saw an E92 M3 ahead of me. Naturally I sped up to catch up and check it out (I was in my work car). I pull next to it and its filthy with dirt and scuffed everywhere. The way it looked I wouldn't be surprised if it was littered with old coffee cups inside.

Anyone else get aggregated by this? Such a beautiful car being kept in such crappy shape

Couldn't care less how others keep their car, unless I'm looking to buy it.

My M3 is littered with empty water bottles and Starbucks coffee cups and I haven't washed it since November, I pretty much live in it. But my excuse is that I am currently going through a separation with my bitch wife.

I care about the performance rather then the cleanness of my car. Wash my car once to twice a month

No, you're not the only one. I love this car so much, I don't understand how any could neglect it.

Whenever I see people's cars littered with trash, I cringe at the thought of what the inside of their house looks like.

Tons of filthy people out there..... To me it is just a representation of their personality.

If their car looks like that, god only knows how filthy their house / bathrooms are.

If it is dirty and scratched cause they have been driving the hell out of it...then thumbs up. But ir they just neglect it, then shame-shame (IMO). I drive mine hard for the enjoyment, then pamper it to protect the investment and make sure I can keep enjoying it for years to come!

When "dirty" is ok

Sometimes, my AW M3 has black rubber marks all over the sides and hood. I wear them proud until the car gets cleaned up in prep for the next "event". Scares the minivan crowd away. Lol.
Also has tons of dead bugs on the bumper cover and windshield. Hey, it "kills bugs fast".

At least the M3 will give you pleasure every time you ride it hard...all kidding aside, hope all goes well...

My work car is an 08 VW GTI, and I am really hard on it and it is pretty filthy most of the time. I drive 45 miles to work on really rough roads and with how much i work it is too much trouble for me to keep the car clean. There are probably GTI enthusiasts that frown when they see me. It is the reason I wanted to get my M3, it is always clean waiting for me to come home in the garage.

I personally don't do it to mine, but I also don't get why it really matters to anybody how someone else keep's their car/house/bathroom/whatever.

It's been covered. I feel sad for the car, but don't get upset. More confused than angry about why people wouldn't care for it properly. Whatever...mine is now more valuable.

Sorry for the error in grammar... I was typing on my iphone and didn't catch the error. Thanks for pointing it out tho!

Maybe my point was misunderstood. I have a daily driver, the car I drive everyday to work. That car isn't kept in the best of conditions but I don't care because it's a Chevy Silverado. That's it's purpose. But when you go and buy an M3 I assume you hold it to a higher standard (maybe It's just me who doesn't have that type of money to throw around), otherwise why not just go get a 328 off the lot?

I'm by no means putting a Ferrari and/or Lambo in the same category as an M3 but when was the last time you saw one of those cars in bad shape? To me my M3 is my exotic. I couldn't imagine treating it like a beater.

Just my 2 cents

You may now continue to crucify me.

I DD my M3 and love it! By no means a beater...I take great care of it. It's a pleasure to drive every day. However, I just don't expect everyone to think this way.

The guy with a Lamborghini and a Ferrari and... will have an M3 beater. All a matter of perspective and disposable income.

hahaha. i have a '12 GTI commuter that's a mess. it gets gas station car washes and it's usually filthy (i do keep the interior clean though). i'm sure GTI lovers grimace when they see mine too haha.
