BMW Performance Exhaust is a big improvement over the stock M3 exhaust but it's still on a heavy side and we knew we need something lighter and high quality.

After talking to Michael from Akrapovic USA we knew that GT4 system is exactly what we needed. The weight savings are pretty impressive so we the goal was achieved!

This week the car continues to stay on a diet and the interior parts are being removed one by one

Replacing BMW Performance Exhaust with Akrapovic GT4 system saved us quite a bit of weight.

BMW Performance Rear Section - 36.5lbs
BMW X-Pipe - 39.5lbs

Akrapovic Rear Section - 24lbs
Akrapovic GT4 X-pipe - 9.5lbs

Total savings: 42.5lbs

Our goal is to reduce overall weight of the car by 165lbs. Seems like we have ways to go

The weight of the stock car with 1/2 tank of gas - 3585lbs

The weight of the car with Akrapovic GT4 system with 1/2 tank of gas - 3542lbs
