Well, the first thing you should do if a dealership scratches your paint is to immediately turn on your computer, alert the entire BMW world of what happened, and completely avoid any and all contact with the dealership itself.

its your word agaist theirs now, unless you can prove it was done at the dealership. i try to do a walkaround before and after i drop my car off for any work with a service advisor. makes me look anal, but it saved me a a free bumper and rim on another vehicle

Alright guys so I got into contact with the dealership and they owned up to it thankfully. They're offering to fix it and provide a loaner but I am unsure if I should leave it with them after how the technicians treated it previously

+1 on the walk around. Always see if there is any damage to your car before you drive off. Dealer can always denied the damage once the car is out the lot. A dealer scratch my driver side fender once, while it was in there care. I saw the damage and quickly told them to fix it. They try to denied the damage but I had the paper work and there was no damage when I left it with them. They repair it and quickly gave me a loaner for my troubles.

well last time, when I picked up my car, I saw about 1 ft long scratch on my hood. I notified SA right away before I left the lot and they took care of it. It took them 2 days. They repainted the whole hood.
