Carbon Fiber Repair Estimate?

Hi all,

I sold a JZB-painted, OEM E92 CF spoiler and USPS managed to crack it on the way. Hitting a dead end with filing a claim with USPS (had insurance...), so I'm looking at other options.

Does anyone here have an idea about how much this crack would cost to repair? It sounds like most bodyshops will do this with fiberglass + paint, which should be fine, since the majority of it was painted already. Just looking for an estimate for repair or if anyone has had any similar work done - thanks!

That is unfortunate to hear. Trunk spoilers are some of the easiest items to crack during shipment. It looks like the majority of the crack is in a painted area so some fiberglass, sanding and painting will probably do the trick. I would say 2-3 hours of labor so it depends on the shops hourly rate. Probably around $80-100 / hour.
