Keeping It Dirty

There are a lot of pictures and comments on this forum that espouse the importance of keeping a clean car. For the most part, I agree with them.

That being said, I love how versatile this car is. In 3.5 years of ownership, this is the first winter that I have driven the M3 in snow conditions. Boy, have I been missing out! Below are a few pictures in homage to "keeping it dirty" and enjoying your M3 in ALL conditions. Feel free to post your own pictures, comments, or stories.

Dirty....i don't mind...but i try to keep it clean...
But roadsalt is my nightmare...i prefer two months hibernation

I do drive her everyday and wash her on weekends. Glad I have a garage with a hose, heat and a drain.

This has to be one of the best car to drive all year round when equipped with the right tires. I had used my M3 for 3 winters and it served better than words can describe.

Daily driver M3. No problems in snow and ice with the proper winter tires.

As someone stated earlier, I have no issues driving in the snow. I love the little extra excitement that comes from it but the amounts of salt they spray around the NYC/NJ roads, it makes me cringe.

I don't mind the car getting dirty, but won't let the salt sit for more than 24 hours and eat away at sealant. I usually hit up the self wash to pressure wash off any major build up.

After 1,100 miles on the Autobahn in snow, then rain.

(the aerodynamics are definitely there!)

Pic taken in the evening at one of several petrol stations along the 1,300 mile journey.

As one of my friends says, "The M3 passes everything except the gas station."

Love this thread. I'm still rocking my summer rubber, driving while cold and dry. The winter Blizzaks setup in the garage on 19" Breytons, I just been lazy.
