Need winter tires (and wheels?) ASAP. Suggestions?
I need to get a winter setup within the next two weeks. I've got 19" OEM wheels, so I think I'm going to need some 18"s as I'll need to fit chains on them (required by law in Tahoe).
Where are good places to buy from if I'm in a hurry? Any recommendations for tires and relatively inexpensive wheels? Thanks.

I will have a set for sale in a couple of days. Includes wheels, dunlop snow tires and TPMS. Shipping is going to be expensive though.

Could be tricky finding what you want this late in the season. Tire rack or local shop is probably your best bet for fast. The OEM package sells for about $3k but it's nice and includes TPMS. Any dealer can get you that.
Top tires are Dunlop Wintersport 3D, Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 (or 3), Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60. |

I have a full set of OEM 219M 18" wheels in satin color I'm looking to sell. There's a bit of rash on one side (one front and one back). However, my price allows for refinishing a bit if desired/needed.

If you need chains, the snow is bad enough that you would probably become a snow plow no? I understand the M is capable in the snow, I drive mine in the snow. But if there is more than a few inches of snow, the M doesn't have the clearence especially in drifts or snowpiles that happen in intersections, parking lots, etc...

Laws in California that dictate use of chains. Was news to me, too. This was a good thread that discussed it with a review (OP, hope it helps):
